WHAT YOU LEFT ABOUT THE 'MOTO G and MOTO E'

Motorola just made a nice come back with its two superb phones 'Moto G and the Moto X'.As is clear from the accolades they are gaining all around the world it is pretty much clear that they are great phones in this  price range as compared to many costlier phones present in the market. But they do have some stumbling block which are still hidden from many.Let me discuss a few of them:

1)The signal problem
PROBLEM:My friend recently bought a Moto G and he is facing a problem regarding the network in his handset. He has to continuously switch off and on his phone as his phone keeps on displaying 'No Signal' which is a continuous phenomena with him.
SOLUTION:After a few days of his registering complaint it turned out that MOTOROLA forgot to register IMEI number of few sets with mobile carriers .On its Facebook page, Motorola has said that "it is working around the clock to resolve this" and impacted users have been sent an email regarding this issue.
In the email , Flipkart and Motorola have specified that Moto G phones with IMEI numbers starting with '3533' might be 'incapable of connecting to the network right now because of a programming error on its part' and that it could take a few more days for the company to resolve the issue.
"It may take several days before your phone will connect to the network. ''
Flipkart and Motorola being very kind on their part had sent an email  informing that it is offering a wallet credit of Rs 1,200 which can be used for any purchase on the e-commerce website, to appease unhappy consumers. Impacted users also have the option to exchange their faulty phone for an operational unit or return it for a full refund. Though the request will be processed after a week, as per Flipkart.

2)Screen becomes blur

PROBLEM:Though because of its good and fast  Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7   processor it works very smoothly but it sometimes display very blur and vague images making the homescreen and all the app icons very indistinct and unable to read. Here are some screen shots from my own  Moto G:

SOLUTION:But this problem can be easily solved and you don't need to worry about the phone-neither it has become slow nor it has a virus. You just need to close the application from the task manager and its all clear. You are back the excellent resolution with a great display of 329 ppi(which is even greater than i-phone)

3)Earlier Simple Now made complex tasks:

This may not be called a problem with Moto G but it hampers the smooth user friendly experience as is provided by other android smartphones. Two problems can be grouped under this category:

i)How to set a custom Ringtone?
This is much easy task in other android phones-just go to the song or any piece of music which you want set as ringtone --->go to its options--->select set as--->ringtone and VOILA! that done as easy as it is said.
But with Moto G you can't set your custom ring tone much easily.First Download a file manager(to see the folders in your phone)--->go to ringtones folder--->drop the music file you want to make as ringtone--->then go to motorola widget of ringtones--->your dropped file occurs in the pre-installed list of ringtones--->select it--->now you can set that as your ringtone.
And you need to repeat this tedious task each and every time you want to change your ringtone

ii)How to send a contact via SMS?
It seems to be a tough job sending a contact details to someone via SMS.Because no such option occur in messaging as it used to appear in previous versions of android. This more of a problem of android then it is of Motorola.First you need to go to the contact you want to share then also you don't get a option to share it via sms(you still get the option to share it via email and whatsapp).
So to solve this problem you need to download third party apps such as:

4)Not so friendly call logs list:
With the call log list displaying the last called ,3 favourites and frequently called and the recent history it does not have any direct button to go to all contacts list(which appears to you only after 2 or 3 clicks.

Also it does not give exact time passed after a call.It gives us a fuzzy information telling us the number of hours passes after the call.

5)The Battery problem:
And with this power packed phone you still feel you could have more battery life.Though a non removable Li-Ion battery promises a 24h battery time but it is not able to deliver so.With wifi use the whole day it hardly ends up one day but without wifi it gives a decent performance.
